Gift

During this holiday season we are blessed that God sent his Son -- which is why we celebrate Christmas.
We also feel very blessed that the Lord sent us our son. What a special gift from God. We love Finneas so much!I couldn't resist putting him under the tree! :)

Weird!

Ok... Why are boys so weird? Pace has found a fascination with putting Finn's Boppy and swaddle on his head. Oh geez!
Boys never grow up!

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with family. Here are a couple of pics of Finn with family on his first Thanksgiving.

Thank You Finn!

We are very thankful this year for our little miracle Finneas. We are also VERY thankful that he's started sleeping through the night. His first long night of sleep was the night before Thanksgiving and he's slept for at least 7 hours straight for the past 5 nights! Yea!

This pic is not of him sleeping but I thought it was cute. I'm too scared to take one when he's asleep...don't want to wake him up!

2 Months

Finn will be 2 months old tomorrow! I can't believe we've already gotten to love on him for 2 months! It's flown by. We had his 2 month check up today at the doctor. He got 4 shots. Ouch!
The doctor said he's doing great except for the fact that he's a little underweight.
Here are his stats and milestones:
~ 5% for head size
~5% for length -- He's now 20 1/2 in. long
~not even on the chart for weight -- He now weighs 7 lbs. 8 oz.
~he's beginning to smile
~he's making more eye contact
~he's rolled over twice (once for his Pappy and once for Daddy - Mommy's never seen it. :( )

We love our little man so much!

Mylicon Recall

I know a lot of other new mommies read my blog so I just wanted to share. I saw on the news last night that Mylicon is being recalled because metal shavings were found in some of the bottles. I think it was in the dye free drops. They suggested that you call the 1-800 number and let them know and they'd send you more. I don't think Mylicon works anyways...

Here's looking at you

Finn is now starting to focus and look at us more. No smiles yet, but since he was 2 weeks early, and a boy, I'm expecting it to take a bit longer.

Below are some new pics.

Adventures of Finn

Finn took his first road trip this past weekend. We went to Shreveport for his cousin Caroline's 1st birthday party. He did a wonderful job in the car on the way there. It's a 3 hour drive so I fed him right before we left and as soon as we got there. He slept pretty much the whole way.

He'll be 6 weeks tomorrow. Everyone tells me that 6 weeks is a milestone and things will get "better/easier" and he'll start sleeping longer through the night. Well, we have 1 day to make some drastic changes then! Keep your fingers crossed.

Nursing is going lots better. I have been nursing exclusively for over 2 weeks now! I'm very proud of myself and little Finny for working so hard at it. We still have some kinks to work out but overall, it's going well!

I'm very excited about this afternoon! My wonderful husband came home yesterday and surprised me with a giftcard for a massage and then arranged for my friends to meet up with me afterward for a mani/pedi. How sweet is he!?! He wants to keep momma happy! :)

Below are some pics. Enjoy!

1 Month

Here's Finneas at one month. He turned one month on on Sunday, October 26th.

He hasn't had too many developmental changes so far. One thing I've noticed though is that his eyelashes are getting longer.

Cowboys Fan

Here's our little Cowboys Fan watching football with Daddy.

First "real" bath.

All is going well with little Finn. At his last weigh in he was 6 lbs. 1 oz. So he's getting bigger. We're still having issues with nursing so I'm having to pump for now. Please keep us in your prayers that "meal time" gets better for us.

2 weeks old/due date

Here is a picture of Finn on Friday October 10. He is now 2 weeks old and this was also his due date. He decided to come and meet us early!

Finn is doing very well. He now weighs 5 lbs. 12 oz. And the doctor says he is doing great! We've had a few issues with nursing but now that is starting to slowly come together too. He's even given us 2 nights in a row of 6 hours of straight sleep. How great! We're not planning on that being the norm as of yet, but it sure was nice!

More pictures of Finneas.

Finished Nursery

The nursery is finished and is ready and waiting for Baby Pace!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and my doctor now says that she thinks he'll be here in about a week or so. We'll see.... We're just playing the waiting game right now.
I'm already at 3 cm and my doctor says that's very good and my body is starting to get prepared. Who knows though, could be tomorrow, could be in a week or more. But whatever day it is, we'll be overjoyed at whatever day he chooses. We'll keep you posted....

More Showers!

We've had two more wonderful showers.

On Labor Day weekend we went to Shreveport where Pace is from. Our sister in law Katherine threw a wonderful shower for us (on top of having Hurricane Ike evacuees in her house). It was family and close family friends of the Paces.

Update

Well, I'm almost 36 weeks and really look and feel pregnant now. It's funny how I was wanting to really be showing and look "big" and -- well now I am (at least I think I am)

I went to the doctor on Monday and she said everything is looking great! He's about 5 & 1/2 to 6 pounds at this point and still head down. She also said that it looks like I'll be having a September baby instead of October. So he'll be here SOON! We can't wait to meet our precious little miracle!
