7 Months

...And what a Big Girl! Mallory is growing like a weed and doing so much. Here are a few things she does now:
(lots of details since I'm journaling so I'll remember this in years to come!) Also, some of these stats are more like 7 1/2 months...

~Sleeps 'normal' in her bed - no carseat!, no swaddle! Yay! We started this at the beginning of February (so right before she turned 7 months). She likes to sleep on her side or her tummy. She sleeps with paci bear which is a pacifier with a little stuff bear attached and likes to snuggle with it. We sing 2-3 songs and rock her, turn on her sound machine, and put her down. She then typically rolls to her side or tummy. At night we catch her with her little tush in the air (which her daddy loves!). She moves all around that crib though, she's a night crawler.
~Takes 3 naps: 9ish, 1ish, and 5ish. The first 2 are 1-2 hrs. The evening nap is usually 45 min. She goes to bed between 7:30 & 8 and sleeps 'til between 7-8. I think she's sooo much more comfortable now which makes her (and me) sleep more!
~Sitting up all by herself. She'll sit for long stretches and play with her basket of toys.
~Takes a bath with Finn in her big girl seat. They both LOVE it! She splashes the water and leans way over to grab for toys. I'm constantly having to resituate her in that thing. Finn loves pouring water on her with his 'whoosh cup'.
~Takes 5 bottles a day. We just changed it - 2 bottles are 6 oz and the other 3 are 8 oz. She's much happier now that we're giving her the extra ounces. I no longer refer to her as "Little Miss Fussbucket"
~Can hold her own bottle. She has a death grip on it! It's nice though because I can just prop her on her boppy and then tend to Finn if I need to.
~Still not really into baby food. I try every few days but I'm not really pushing it though. She'll eat when she's ready. I've also heard that this may mean she'll barely be on baby food and move quickly to finger foods. Easier for me! :)
~Scooting around on her tummy like crazy! She'll be on the rug and then before you know it, she's 5 feet away on the wood floor. Guess this means I'd better start cleaning our floors more often.
~Getting up on all 4's. This just started in the last few days. Man is this girl itchin' to crawl!
~Nicknames: Mal, Mallie, Mallie Mae, Little Miss Fussbucket, Stinkerella, Monkey
~"Talking" lots now. She'll be playing and you'll constantly hear little squeals.
~Sticks her tongue out when she smiles.
~Wearing size 2 diapers and size 3 overnight diapers.
~Wearing mostly 6 month clothes. There are a few 3 month things that fit still (it all depends on the brand)
~Bounces up a down when I sing to her (especially if it's rap)
~Likes her paci still. She doesn't use it all day long - just before/during sleep and when we're out and about.
~Sucks and chews on her fingers and thumb.
~Melts her mommy's heart daily. Ahhh!
